The Wodonga Athletic Club is hosting the 5k handicap series, a great local event that has been on the Border's running calendar for over 30 years.
Fortnightly from 8th October to 10th December 2026, join us for a five-race series that brings runners of all abilities together. In this unique handicap format, start times are staggered based on ability, giving everyone a shot at crossing the finish line first.
Events are held Thursday nights, marshalling 15min before the start times listed below. Registrations open soon.
- 8th October, The Crossing, Lincoln Causeway, 6:30pm (map)
- 22nd October, Ebden Reserve, Lake Hume, 6:30pm (map)
- 12th November, Pat Parker Park, Wodonga, 6:30pm
- 26th November, Huon Reserve, Lake Hume, 7:00pm (map)
- 10th December, Sumsion Gardens, Baker Motors, Wodonga, 7:00pm (map)
Runners must be 12 years and older and register by 9pm Wednesday before event via the link above. Late entries may be accepted but will not be eligible for prizes.
To ensure fair and accurate handicapping, please provide your most recent credible 5km time (eg Parkrun, RaceResult or other time event).
Non-members $60 for the series or $15 per event. Members $40 for the series or $10 per event. Pay on the day by card or cash.
Event prizes include fastest time, first finisher, nearest the pin. Series winners will be the competitors with the lowest sum of event placings.
