About

The Wodonga Athletic Club is a family oriented club that is committed to providing a safe and friendly environment where people can compete at their own level in a wide range of track and field events. If you would like to join us, please make yourself known at any of our meets or by contacting a member of the committee.

  • Competition is provided in:
    • Throws: shot put, discus, javelin, hammer
    • Running: Sprints - 60m, 100m, 200m, 400m - middle distance: 800m, 1500m - distance 3000m, 5000m, 10,000m, steeplechase, hurdles
    • Jumps: high jump, long jump, triple jump, pole vault
    • Extended events - 100m gift, pentathlon, relays: sprints, middle distance, throws, swedish
  • Summer Track & Field season is conducted from October through to March, primarily at the Wodonga Aths Complex. Competition is held in U14, U16, U18, U20, Open, 40+, 50+, 60+, 70+ & 80+ age divisions. The synthetic track at Alexander Park, Albury, is used for 4 meets each season.
  • Club training is held from September onwards, Tuesday & Thursday evenings.
  • Distance events/fun runs organised by the club are held throughout the year in the local area over a variety of terrains. Current key event being the 5k handicap series.

Wodonga Aths have qualified coaches who can assist you to improve your fitness or improve a particular skill. Presentation night 2022

Awards: At the end of each season trophies are given for: club champion, age champions, multi event champion, throws champion, jumps champion as well as coaches awards, club person of the year and Don Chambers award.

 Aths VIC, AVWodonga Aths is an affiliate club of Athletics Victoria. Our committee meets on the second Tuesday of every month and new members are always welcome.
