Where is it held?

Competition is conducted on Sunday mornings from  9.00am or Thursday evenings at 5.30pm. At Wodonga Athletic Complex, Pearce Street, Wodonga or Alexandra Park, Cadell Street Albury. Check the calendar for more detail

How much does Athletics cost?

 

Wodonga Athletic Club (WAC) membership fees for 2008/2009 season:

Joining Fees:
Wodonga Athletic Club (WAC) membership fees

$22        Juniors (Under 21)

$35        Seniors (21 and over)

$60        Family

 

Athletics Victoria membership fees (Required if athletes wish to compete at Country or State Championships)
$60        Registration with Athletics Victoria
$25        Existing registered Victorian Little Athletics members (Dual Registration)
 

WAC weekly competition fees

$2         members (Daily maximum of $6 per family)

$7         registered Little Aths

$7         registered other Athletic Club members
$7         non-members (
a maximum of two meets)

If a person joins at the completion of the day the $5 will be taken as part of their membership fee.

 

Wodonga Athletic Club members receive discounts to enter WAC fun run events.
Registration forms are available from the committee.

Can you try athletics before joining?

For Insurance purposes non-members may only trial twice with an affiliated Athletics Victoria club before becoming a member. A trailing member form must be completed prior to competition and are available from the committee.

How old do you need to be before joining?

       

An athlete must be at least 12 years of age before joining the Wodonga Senior Athletics Club, and all junior members must be accompanied by a parent at all times while in attendance at Weekly programs and training.
Little Athletics is available locally with the 3 Little Athletics Centres Wodonga, Albury and Lavington/Jindera contact information can be obtained from the Little Athletics Northern Country Region secretary Christine Doubleday on 6059 2652

Is there any training provided?

Free Training sessions are conducted every Tuesday and Thursday, for club members check Training for an update.

Wodonga Athletic Club 10km Championship, Cumberoona Fun Run, Commercial Club Classic, Baker Motors 5km Handicap (held at Sumsion Gardens,) Greg Simpson Financial Services 5km Handicap Series, Don Sparks Steel Supplies Pentathlon Championship, Relay Day, Wodonga Gift, Cross Country Series (held at Lake Hume), Open Day Carnival, Victorian Athletics Country Championships, North East Distance Runner Series.
